1. Who is responsible

findmyagent.ca ("Find My Agent", "we") is run by its owner as a free public directory. The person in charge of protecting personal information (privacy officer) is the site owner, who can be reached at [email protected]. Requests are answered within 48 hours on business days and always within 30 days.

2. Information shown in listings

Each listing may show an agent's name, brokerage, office city, business phone, business email, languages spoken and the public web page the details came from. This is business contact information that agents and brokerages publish so the public can reach them about real estate. We collect it from public brokerage and agent websites and from agents who submit themselves through our Join form. We use it only for one purpose: helping people contact an agent in their professional capacity, in their own language.

We do not publish home addresses, personal social-media profiles, photos of agents, ratings, or any non-business details. We do not say an agent is "verified" or recommended, and we do not take payment from agents.

3. Correcting or removing a listing

If you are an agent and want your listing changed or removed, email [email protected] or use the Feedback form. We act within 48 hours. Removed agents are not added back unless they ask.

4. Visitors: analytics and cookies

The homepage uses Google Analytics to count visits (pages viewed, approximate country and city, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate location. We only see totals; we do not build profiles of visitors or use the data for advertising. Google may process this data outside Canada, including in the United States. City and language pages do not use analytics.

Fonts on some pages are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address when the font file is downloaded.

Your browser also stores your chosen site language and light/dark setting (local storage on your device). This never leaves your device.

5. Join and Feedback forms

The Join and Feedback forms are run on Google Forms, so Google stores what you send. We use it only to update the directory and reply to you, and we never sell or share it. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed, and at the latest after 12 months.

6. Emails to agents

We may occasionally email an agent at their published business email to tell them about their free listing. Each email says who we are and how to stop further emails; we stop as soon as anyone asks.

7. Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, or your provincial privacy commissioner.

8. Terms of use and disclaimer

Find My Agent is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any brokerage, real estate board, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), or any provincial regulator. REALTOR® and MLS® are trademarks controlled by CREA; other names and logos belong to their owners.

Listings are provided "as is" for information only and may be out of date. A listing is not a recommendation. Before you work with any agent, check their licence with the provincial regulator (for example RECO in Ontario, BCFSA in British Columbia, RECA in Alberta, OACIQ in Québec). We are not responsible for services provided by any agent listed here.

Please do not copy the directory in bulk or use it to send unsolicited marketing. City photos and other materials are used under their own licences; see Credits.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
